Six Month Baby Milestone Session
I get a lot of questions from parents on when is a good time to get follow up pictures for their newborns. Baby milestone sessions can be at any stage during the first year but I typically recommend 3, 6, 9 and one year. While every baby is different these are typically associated with different developmental milestones. At a minimum I recommend the 6 month and one year session. It is pretty incredible to see how much that newborn baby has changed in just six months. While my style for newborn sessions is more posed I find that after this I prefer to let them be babies, toddlers and children.
What can you expect from a six month baby?
Lots of smiles
Mimics your expressions
Lots of expressions
Reacts to sounds
May be sitting (although a bit wobbly)
Has discovered their hands and maybe even figured out how to get both of them in their mouth
Has discovered their feet
Oh, my last favorite one is chubbiness. Some babies have started solids at this point and aren’t moving a lot yet so this is the time when most babies are the chubbiest. This is why I often call this session the Cuteness Checkup.
Based on the Cuteness Checkup I would say that Macie is 100 percentile on the cuteness radar.
